The Blue Mountains
She sits there in the east. Jamaica's legendary mountain range with spurs that stretch lazily to the north and south. With a majestic reach that peaks at just over 7,000 feet, the Blue Mountains preside over this island paradise with pensive composure, its cobalt-tinged appearance often drawing curious gazes from below.
Greenwich Mountain
Nestled at 4,000 feet up in the rugged terrain, lies Greenwich Mountain Estate, a family-owned coffee estate. Facing southward with a
commanding 180 degree view of the island, Greenwich is blessed with a unique and mysterious milieu that has rendered its coffee beans unmatched. Theories about Greenwich flow like the trade winds that move through the mountains.
Its particular altitude. Volcanic soil in which the plants grow. Hours of perfectly-muted sunshine. The phenomenon called Blue Mountain mist, that magical gift of nature that steals in unannounced, staying just long enough to cool the leaves of the coffee plant before disappearing. Whatever the combination, the result is a timeless arabica typica coffee-cherry that, like its former Ethiopian parent, remains the benchmark variety against which all similar and hybrid varieties are judged.

It has, until now, remained an exclusive family treasure. This is the estate that pays true homage to the time-honoured methods once used by the
Blue Mountains' original coffee growers. From
hand-sown seedling to carefully-potted plant to
individually-sealed package, Greenwich Blue is coffee meticulously cared for from start to finish. Our growing technique is as exacting as the
quality we expect from every Greenwich Blue bean. We hand-select, process and sun-dry only those beans grown on our estate, processing each batch daily. We roast and package our beans just prior to shipping. As growers of Greenwich Blue, we stand unabashed in our modest yields, taking pride instead in Greenwich Blue's certification by the Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica as 100% premium grade Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee.
